60 WEEKS PROGRAM APPLICATION

Success at BDW* is as much about attitude as it is about ability, so our application should reflect your passion as well as your promise. BDW students want to change the world. But before you can do that, you have to apply. The application consists of three parts.

The first part is a timed tagging exercise that demonstrates your ability to navigate the digital ecosystem. You will have 48 hours to complete the three step tagging exercise once you begin. You’ll be prompted to save a bookmark that lets you tag websites and share them with us. We ask that you tag and comment on the following types of sites:

  • 4 sites that you find inspiring/representative of your interests
  • 2 sites that solve business problems unconventionally
  • 2 sites that show technical expertise
  • 2 sites that show creative vision and execution

Part two of the application is where you express your digital self. We ask for a personal statement, resume and links to your online presence.

Part three has the most variables. We suggest you begin with the administrative tasks––letters of recommendation, transcripts––so you can spend quality time with the materials that express the essential you. Part three is when you need to submit your $50 non-refundable processing fee, it is what makes your application move quickly through the acceptance process.

* Any BDW student should be familiar but not proficient with the following programs: Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP or another application development language, MySQL, and basic use of Flash or other rich media applications.

International students should be sure to read this.
